He cannot gather the fruit till it is ripe. He knows when we are spiritually ready to receive the blessing to our profit and His glory. Waiting in the sunshine of His love is what will ripen the soul for His blessing. Waiting under the cloud of trial, that breaks in showers of blessings, is as needful.
Be assured that if God waits longer than you could wish, it is only to make the blessing doubly precious.
For this reason the Lord is ready to show you mercy; he sits on his throne, ready to have compassion on you. Indeed, the Lord is a just God; all who wait for him in faith will be blessed.—Isa 30:18
From Streams in the Desert, July 22, read the entire meditation Here .
Three who are very dear to us woke this morning waiting. One waits in China longing to leave that foreign and unfamiliar land with two new children. Their hearts ache to return to the familiar, to home and their waiting 6 children.
Here is last night’s update from Joe:
Here is what I know for sure: 1). we are stuck in China 2). At this moment we have no idea for how long 3). We know for sure even if our Visa comes today we cannot leave China until Sunday because there are no other flights with seats available. 4). Dozens of families are in the same boat as us and adding, making a fight for rebooked flights out of here will be who ever has fastest fingers and faror on their side since the second dozens of families find out visas are available everyone is going to try to rebook flights. 5). Our hotel is $180 (us) per day (we are out of money) and food for 4 is about $50 per day, and rescheduled flights so far cost us $1000 (us). 6). We only scheduled child care through Friday.
I know God has us right where he wants us, we continue to encourage and pray for the many families affected by this.
Blessed to be a blessing, Joe
Thank you for praying for these precious children of God as they obey and wait for His timing.
Our California children woke this morning waiting for His timing to fulfill the ache HE has placed in their hearts to love and nurture a tiny life who at this moment is unknown. When your heart is called to adoption the moment by moment waiting is indescribable. There was a time that i was certain there was no experience in waiting like that of carrying a life under your heart and waiting for the proclaimed due date to find the answers. And then we entered the journey of adoption. No due date, no information on genetics, health, environment, nutrition, medical care….the list never ends as to what is unknown about that tiny life who has already been ordained as your child. Our second Son Tylor and his sweet Tiffany are waiting on the arrival of their second, a little blue bundle. Baby Boy is expected towards the end of this month and the wait is getting long. If the surrender to uncertainties and unknowns in the waiting weighs heavy today, rest in the promises of Isaiah..all who wait for him in faith will be blessed, and if he says again today, “wait my child, wait!” it is only that he may bring double blessing when HIS time is perfect.
